Francisco Castro Miranda (Guadalajara, 1980) estudió la Licenciatura en Diseño para la Comunicación Gráfica en la Universidad de Guadalajara (UdG). Desde hace 10 años, su estudio insignia Curious Flux ha producido un importante corpus de ilustraciones, proyectos editoriales, de identidad gráfica y corporativa, fotografía, arte digital animado y tipografía. Asimismo, ha incurrido en el campo de las instalaciones, el arte en papel y el diseño/creación de objetos utilitarios y decorativos. En tal diversidad de manifestaciones creativas se encuentra, como hilo conductor, una búsqueda estética ecléctica, lúdica y fresca, a menudo inspirada de la tradición gráfica popular mexicana.

   Las creaciones de Curious Flux han sido publicadas en diversas revistas (Chilango, Life and Style México, Errr Magazine, Blink), recopiladas por editoriales (“Los Logos 6”, Gestalten @ Berlín, Alemania, 2012) o expuestas en diversos centros culturales o galerías nacionales e internacionales (Flurioux @ Guadalajara, México, 2011; Heir today, gone tomorrow @ Austin, EUA, 2011). Recientemente ha establecido colaboraciones multidisciplinarias con reconocidos actores de la escena musical (Montag, Carpark Records @ Washington, DC 2013) o político-cultural (Artículo 19 Latinoamérica @ CDMX, México, 2014 u Horizontal @ CDMX, México, 2014-2015).

Francisco Castro Miranda (Guadalajara, 1980) worked towards completing course requirements for a Bachelor of Design and Graphic Communications at the University of Guadalajara (UdG). His studio Curious Flux has produced a corpus of illustrations, publishing projects, graphic identity, branding, photography, digital art and animated typography for over 10 years. He also has contributed and worked with many installations, paper art and design and creation of utilitarian and decorative objects. Such a diversity of creative expressions is driven by an eclectic, playful and fresh aesthetic research, often inspired by traditional Mexican folk graphics.
   Illustrative works of Curious Flux were published in magazines such as Chilango, Life & Style Mexico, Errr Magazine and Blink. Additionally logotypes were compiled in editorials including “The Logos 6”, Gestalten in Berlin, Germany in 2012. The studio contributed to exhibitions in cultural centers, national and international galleries. For instance, Flurioux in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2011 and Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow in Austin, Texas in 2011. 
   Recently, Francisco developed multidisciplinary collaborations with renowned actors in the music scene such as Montag, Carpark Records from Washington, DC in 2013. Later there were collaborations with NGOs stationed in Mexico City such as Artículo 19 and Horizontal, with dates of editorial contributions from 2014 to 2015. Curious Flux was offered an artistic residency at Casa Wabi in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca in the month of May 2016. Most recently, the studio has worked with Voces Magazine from Santa María la Ribera in its fourth issue that was presented at "Amplified Rumors", Suplex Collective exhibition at Errant Sound (Errant Bodies) in Berlin, Germany.
